DENTISTS
DR. JUAN MEDINA DDS.
Dr. Medina, a dentist based in Guelph, Canada, moved to the country in 2004 and established his family in the city. He earned his dental degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1995 and pursued advanced education in general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. With nine years of experience in private practice and a role as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry, Dr. Medina later worked as a Dental Technician and owned a Dental Laboratory upon moving to Canada. He became a licensed dentist in 2013, holding memberships in prestigious dental associations.
Dr. Medina is committed to preventive dentistry and tailors treatment plans to meet individual patient needs. Actively engaged in continuing education programs, he stays abreast of evolving dental practices, techniques, and materials to provide cutting-edge care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Medina enjoys life in Guelph with his family, pursuing interests in gardening, art, and exercise. He contributes to the community through volunteering at his local church.
DR. ISABEL MONAGAS BDS.
Dr. Monagas, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, has called Oakville home since 2004. She pursued her academic journey by obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in Bio-Medical Science from the University of Guelph. In 2023, Dr. Monagas achieved her dental degree from University College Cork, Ireland.
Passionate about patient care, Dr. Monagas finds joy in meeting new patients and tailoring her approach to address their specific needs. Her commitment extends to ensuring that each patient experiences the best possible dental care.
Dedicated to professional growth, Dr. Monagas actively keeps abreast of the latest dental techniques. Her commitment to continuous learning reflects her desire to expand her scope of practice and provide cutting-edge care to her patients. This dedication to staying at the forefront of the field ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of dental treatment.
DENTAL HYGIENE
Katerina
Registered Dental Hygienist
Katerina was born in Kazakhstan and moved to Canada when she was 16 years old. She brings many years of dental experience to our practice. Her dental career started as a Dental Assistant in 2002 and has practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2009, when she graduated from the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene. Katerina enjoys educating her patients about the importance of oral health and working with them to achieve positive results. Katerina is a hockey mom to two busy boys and enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She lives in the country where she loves to garden and take care of her chickens.
Haydee
Registered Dental Hygienist
Haydee is a foreign dentist born in Venezuela and brings over 24 years of dental experience to Royal City Dental. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2009, when she graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Dental Health. She especially feels accomplished when she can make people with previous negative dental experiences feel comfortable and happy to be receiving care, and takes pride in being gentle, yet thorough. In her time away from the dental chair, Haydee enjoys running, exercising, traveling and spending time with her husband and two kids.
Nicole
Registered Dental Hygienist
Nicole graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Dental Health in 2008.
She grew up in Venezuela where she obtained her Dental Degree and a specialty in Paediatric Dentistry. She is passionate about educating patients about prevention and helping them regain and maintain their oral health while ensuring they always feel
comfortable in the dental environment, as well as introducing children in a positive and fun manner to their first dental experience. She has lived in Guelph since moving to Canada in 2004. In her spare time Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and swimming.

Leticia
Dental Assistant
Leticia joined Royal City Dental in 2019 when she moved to Guelph from Mississauga. She is originally from Venezuela, where she graduated as a dentist and obtained a speciality in Periodontics. She has many years of experience in dentistry and at Royal City Dental we are fortunate to have her as part of our assisting team. Always smiling, you will see her around helping us all throughout the day. In her free time Leticia likes to cook, watch movies and spend time with her husband and son.
Laura
Dental Assistant
Laura was born and raised in Guelph. She graduated with honours from the Dental Assisting program at Trios College in 2021 and has previous experience in medical transcription, editing, writing, and as a personal support worker. Laura enjoys being part of the team at Royal City Dental. Her kind, compassionate and calming nature helps patients feel at ease during treatment, assuring they have a positive experience. When not at the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her three children and spouse, and taking her dog for walks and runs.
Fariha
Dental Assistant
Fariha was born and raised in Guelph. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at George Brown College in 2023. Fariha is passionate about dentistry and excited to gain experience, as she plans on expanding her career to become a Dental Hygienist. She is always joyful and loves to make people smile. In her free time Fariha enjoys going out with her friends and spending time with her family and her cat.
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
Margarita
Office Manager
Margarita has been part of the Royal City Dental team since 2020 in the role of Office Administrator. She holds a degree in Business and Marketing from Venezuela, where she worked for the pharmaceutical industry. Margarita is always enthusiastic and helpful and does her best to take care of our patients and address any questions or concerns. In her spare time Margarita enjoys the outdoors, going on walks and camping with her husband and two children, Juan Carlos and Vicky.
Titianna
Administrative Team
Titianna graduated from Fanshawe College for Dental Assisting in 2019. Since then, she works actively as an orthodontic dental assistant. She joined the amazing team at Royal City Dental in 2022 as an office administrator, sharing her knowledge and passion of dentistry with both the team and patients. She is always happy to answer any question, and strives to make patients feel comfortable, and confident in the dental office. When she’s not at work, Titianna enjoys reading, traveling, and attending concerts with family and friends.
Christine
Administrative Team
Christine graduated from Medix school of Dental Assisting in 2009. She then transitioned to an administrative role in dentistry eight years ago. Originally from Acton, Christine joined Royal City Dental in 2021 and is one of the smiling faces who greets our patients at the front desk. She is always happy to assist our patients and answer any questions. When she is not at work, Christine enjoys being outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
